Fuel Air Seperator SsytemTypically fuel tanks are usually mounted at least two feet below and ten feet away from the fuel pump. This configuration creates multiple problems associated with the fuel delivery to the engine. First, the injection pump has to draw the fuel from the tank by creating a vacuum. When diesel fuel is drawn by a vacuum fuel vapor is produced. Second, while the vehicle is underway the fuel is sloshing around in the fuel tanks creating entrained air. This circumstance has created a situation far from the manufacturer test cell conditions which results in air and vapor being mixed in with the fuel when it is delivered to the injector. By having entrained air and air vapor in the fuel the engine does not perform at the engine manufacturer's specification. Air and fuel vapor occupy the space that should have pure fuel, thus delaying the injection of fuel into the combustion chamber. This phenomenon is better known as "RETARDED TIMING." Air/vapor present in fuel is very inconsistent also causing varying degrees of changes in injection timing.

FASS Fuel PumpFASS Systems:
FASS Fuel Air Separator Systems are available in 3 configurations, a 95 Series Fuel System, a 150 Series Fuel System, and as a stand-alone High Performance Fuel Pump without filtering. Each configuration is also available in multiple flow rates, typically 95gph, 150gph, and 200gph.

Complete Kits:
All FASS Fuel Air Separator Systems and the High Performance Fuel Pump systems are complete kits. They come with the hoses, fittings, mounting hardware, etc to do the job. Everything needed to complete the install should be included, except tools and wire ties.

FASS Configurations:
  • FASS 95 Series is a new, smaller, more compact system with new, smaller filters. Filter life is about 1/3 to 1/2 that of the 150 Series filters.
  • FASS 150 Series is the same FASS system that we have been selling for quite some time. Uses the same filters as before.
  • HPFP ( high performance fuel pumps ) are available for those wanting a reliable fuel system without the added filtering.
FASS Flow Rates:
  • 95gph is for stock to 600HP applications. This is the kit for most people.
  • 150gph is for 600HP to 700HP applications.
  • 200gph is for 700HP+ applications only.
  • Note: You do not want to run a pump with a higher gal per hour rating than your engines hp or the life of the FASS fuel pump will be greatly reduced. Pump noise is greatly enhanced with the larger flowing pumps.
FASS Part Numbers:

FASS Model Number / Flow Rate - Application Number. Typical application could include:

  • FASS 95/95-0000 means 95 series FASS system, 95gph flow rate
  • FASS 95/150-0000 means 95 series FASS system, 150gph flow rate
  • FASS 95/200-0000 means 95 series FASS system, 200gph flow rate
  • FASS 150/95-0000 means 150 series FASS system, 95gph flow rate
  • FASS 150/150-0000 means 150 series FASS system, 150gph flow rate
  • FASS 150/200-0000 means 150 series FASS system, 200gph flow rate
  • HPFP-95-0000 means stand-alone fuel pump, 95gph flow rate
  • HPFP-150-0000 means stand-alone fuel pump, 150gph flow rate
  • HPFP-200-0000 means stand-alone fuel pump, 200gph flow rate
