1994-97 7.3L Ford Powerstroke Turbo Air Guide (TAG)
Have you ever been in an airplane when it enters into a turbulent airstream? Most have, and when this happens, it slows the airplane down considerably, causing it to perform inefficiently. The turbo in your 6.0L works similar to this principle. If airflow is turbulent (as it usually is in a stock airbox/inlet situation), it slows turbo response. The Turbo Air Guide (TAG) works by redirecting air entering the compressor side of the turbo charger into a laminar flow. This redirected air reduces drag on the compressor wheel due to turbulence and redirects the air straight into the compressor.
