Power Products carries the ICON Vehicle Dynamics Uniball Cover Cap Kit
With the popularity that our first episode had in the build of a 2013 Ford F-150 EcoBoost, we took the challenge to do another one with some different parts, to once again, deliver a solid street truck that can easily hit the trails on the weekends in comfort. In order to accomplish this, we installed a kit that we've had great success with, the ICON Stage 2 kit that comes complete with 2.5" series ICON adjustable front coilovers, rear ICON aluminum 2.0 series shocks, and ICON Tubular Upper Control Arms to round out the package. This entire kit has everything you need for a superb ride coupled with bulletproof components that will take nearly anything you can throw at it off road and will properly level out the truck, big emphasis on PROPERLY.
In order to help with performance, we also added a Sprint Booster and one of AEM's brand new intake systems for the 3.5L EcoBoost. One thing that we have noticed on all of the EcoBoosts we have encountered is their off-idle throttle response seems lackluster. However, with the addition of a Sprint Booster to reduce the necessary input from the throttle, it really wakes up the turbos and gets things moving considerably faster. And to get more airflow, we looked to the new AEM system that offers a completely sealed airbox in order to keep the hot air out, and the cold air in to provide a dense, cool air charge to the twin turbos.
To round things out, we installed a set of Method NV wheels wrapped in Nitto Terra Grappler rubber. Overall, the truck turned out awesome, and not only met the demands of the customer, but well exceeded them.
