NOTE: For Mercedes G56 Equipped Trucks Heavy Duty Adjustable Hydraulics are required for use with these kits. NV5600 kits do not require the upgrade. Please also note that Dodge made a transmission change in mid-year 2005. Early 2005 model year trucks have the NV5600 while late 2005's have the G56 transmission. There are 3 ways to determine which transmission you have: 1) Reverse position. On the NV5600 reverse is to the right and up. On the G56 reverse is the the left and down. 2) Look at your transmission case. On the NV5600 it is steel. On the G56 it is aluminum. 3) Take the last 8 #'s of your vin to your Dodge dealer and have them pull up the original build sheet. G56 Clutch kits are more expensive because they require a flywheel to replace the factory dual mass flywheel. NV5600 clutch kits do not require a flywheel since they come from the factory with a 13" Flywheel. We advise having your flywheel turned prior to installing a new clutch to ensure a smooth mating surface. This can usually be done at most local parts houses. We do offer NV5600 flywheels if yours isn't salvageable.
