At this point very few diesel enthusiasts would argue that Valair has changed the way we think when it comes to Dual Disc clutches. Since coming on the market they have proven that their dual disc is capable of standing up to whatever you can throw at it on the track and on the street. Recently Valair has increased their dominance of of the dual disc market by responding to your needs and suggestions. In addition to offering their standard dual disc which includes an SFI rated flywheel, your choice of pressure plate load, available bronze inserts and is capable of holding up to 800 rwhp they now offer a Dual Disc kit that comes with a non-SFI rated nodular iron flywheel that is rated up to 650 rwhp. The Nodular Iron Dual Disc kit comes standard with a 3250# pressure plate and is geared toward the higher horsepower truck that won't see any time on the sled pulling circuit or at the track. For you guys and gals that pull big loads and can't seem to find a single disc clutch to hold, Valair now offers it's new 12 1/4" Diaphragm Dual Disc. This clutch kit is rated to 650 horsepower, has nice driving manners (very similar to a single disc) and does not require a hydraulic upgrade kit for NV5600 or G56 equipped trucks. Please note that all dual disc clutches will have some "chatter" noise to them. This is completely normal and is due to extremely tight tolerances.
Dodge switched from the NV5600 to the G56 mid-model year in 2005. In NV5600 equipped trucks reverse is the the right and up and in G56 equipped truck reverse is to the left and down.
NOTE: Valair's new Triple Disc is out. Call for pricing and availability. This clutch is not for your daily driver or the faint of heart!
