All trucks built in 2007 or later, including the Duramax, had to meet new emission standards. These are the new bo
dy style Duramax diesel trucks introduced mid year in 2007. One of the biggest changes was the introduction of particulate filters in the exhaust. These filters trap all the soot and will go into a regeneration mode about once every tank of fuel. Diesel fuel is injected into the exhaust system by the fuel injectors spraying fuel in the exhaust stroke of the engine. This super heats the exhaust and the filter and cleans the filter much like a self cleaning oven. Using fuel to clean the exhaust is having a negative effect on fuel mileage.
Products in this section are designed to work on 2007.5, 2008, 2009 and 2010 LMM 6.6L GM Duramax equipped trucks unless otherwise noted.
The truck in the picture above is one of our trucks. It is an 07.5 with a 6" lift and 35" tires. Tail lights and brake lights smoked by Autolights Unlimited (look for their products to appear on the site in the near future). Oh yeah, and the most advanced muffler bearings available along with premium blinker fluid.
