In high performance, high-load situations, the torque converter bears the brunt of the engine's force. Inferior torque converter designs can slip excessively, causing the oil to foam and boil, and the front cover to balloon, even rupture. But BD's TorqForce torque converter was specifically designed to handle the kind of punishment you dish out. Built on our premises in a state-of-the-art transmission facility, BD TorqForce converters feature a stamp forged steel cover that is actually stronger than steel billet, up to triple the clutch material, furnace brazed fins and our own billet aluminum stator design that maximizes the low-speed torque characteristics of thePowerstroke engine. On the street, you'll notice that stall speed is reduced significantly, resulting in more positive engagement in drive, enhanced low-speed drivability and better fuel economy.
If you drag race or sled pull, youll appreciate that the TorqForce is designed to handle up to 1,400 lb.-ft of torque in an 11-second truck. And if you tow a heavy trailer, check this out: The TorqForce has been tested to 850 lb.-ft of torque, towing a 26,000 lb. load up a six-percent grade!

charge in the lower 48 states, we will cover the return core shipping
and the core must be returned with in 21 days or your credit card will be
charged. Core charge is $450.
