Stock Diesel Injectors
2003-04 5.9L Dodge Cummins
Injector failure on the 03+ Common Rail Dodge Cummins trucks is usually caused by either bad fuel or the use of power adders that increase rail pressure. Bad fuel can cause injector failure immediately, pressure boxes will cause failure over time. The best insurance against bad fuel contamination is to run a 2 or 3 micron aftermarket fuel filter in combination with a water separator. We offer inexpensive options from Glacier Diesel Power and The Right Connection. For those of you that want to add filtration AND increase the fuel supply, we offer pumps from FASS, AirDog (PureFlow) and BD.
The advantage to being rebuilt by Bosch is they have the ability tocompletely "gut" these injectors from input to output to ensure they areasclose to new as possible. The only "Remanufactured" part of theseinjectors is the housing. All internals are brand new and put togetherthe right way by Bosch. There's no reason to pay enormous costs atthe dealer. True Brand New Injectors are not available except fordirectly on a new truck. If you can get a Brand New Injector, the costis usually about $800-900 per injector.
These injectors require a $150 core charge each that you arerequired to pay at the time of purchase. Don't worry, because these areinjectors directly from Bosch, the condition of your cores is notimportant. We process the cores in-house so we can get your refund toyou within 2 business days of receiving them, not months like some otherplaces.
Priced per injector. If you need a set, you will need to purchase 6.
