2 Available Floater Plate Options
"Ceramic clutches are intended for trucks making higher horsepower that require a clutch that can hold the elevated power levels. This means that they will have a tendency to want to grab once engaged, as opposed to slip like a lesser horsepower rated clutch will. In order to reduce gear roll over noise, it has been found that overfilling the transmission by a quart to quart and a half will reduce some or all of the noise. Further, we also offer Valair's Quiet Floater Plate option that will drastically reduce any floater plate chatter."
"When converting from a dual mass flywheel to a solid, one piece flywheel, as is with this clutch, coupled with the aluminum case of a G56, gear rollover noise can be prevalent in some cases. For trucks that produce this rollover noise, Valair recommends overfilling the transmission by a quart to quart and a half and using Delvac 50 oil to reduce and sometimes eliminate this noise."
