Smarty….this is a name that has bee synonymous with Dodge Cummins for years.  It's hard to describe to someone what is different about a Smarty tuner versus "others" until they drive it.  Even with having similar power levels to other brands of tuners, Smarty has the leg up on drivability.  Think of it this way, while there are many other tuners on the market that make the same power (if not more) than a Smarty, its all in how each GETS to that power.  Where most other types of programming have more of a progressive curve that slowly gains that additional horsepower, and finally achieves it at the top end, Smarty gives a much more aggressive curve that brings the majority of that power in from the bottom end, and then carries it all the way through the power band up to the top. 


Another thing that guys especially with manual transmission trucks notice is that the Smarty makes gear changes much easier, because the power kind of "hangs" so you don't have to come up on boost as much between gear changes.  Couple this great power with NINE power

Additional Model Information:

The "standard" Smarty S-67 is no longer available with the ME software that will allow you to disable your emissions equipment (DPF and EGR).  If you are looking for this feature, you must select the S-67ME option as shown below.


Horsepower Settings For The

 The horsepower settings. except #0, all other software applications have a modified "Torque management" (TQM). The throttle response is greatly improved but is set to a save limit. With "Save" they mean save your transmission and rest of the drivetrain.
  • SW# 0: Half power
  • SW# 1: 30 Hp increase, with added timing
  • SW# 2: 60 Hp increase, no added timing
  • SW# 3: 60 Hp increase, with added timing
  • SW# 4: 90 Hp increase, no added timing
  • SW# 5: 90 Hp increase, with added timing
  • SW# 6: 130 Hp increase, no added timing
  • SW# 7: 130 Hp increase, with added timing
  • SW# 8: 170 Hp increase, no added timing***
  • SW# 9: 170 Hp increase, with added timing***

    *** °°° Do not use for prolonged high speed runs! Speeds exceeding approx 105 mph can result in high exhaust gas temperatures and damage the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) !!! .
    *** All even numbered software (2-4-6-8) without timing are to be used for stacking with other after market power adding devices that also add their own timing. NO additional timing has to be used with the odd numbered software (1-3-5-7-9). Severe engine damage will result !!!

    The SMARTY S-67 is not guaranteed to be undetectable.

    Here's some of the latest news on the S-67:

  • It is now possible for the customer to dial in the VGT responsiveness ( In the revo options )
  • The VGT levels are as follows:
    1) stock ( makes for a somewhat sluggish throttle )
    2) The Default one, good compromise between responsiveness and MPG
    3) For Mileage!  Less responsive than 2 but better for mileage ( Should be used for towing heavy )
    4) As responsive as possible without creating too much back pressure.
    Mileage will suffer  a little with this one!

    • Smarty does now recognize the 2009 ECM's with the "lock out" boot loader. 

    In that case Smarty will display "ECM Protected " and refuse to download to the truck.

    Smarty software updates are always free.  As an added bonus, you can always send yours in and we can do it for you.  Local guys can always bring their's in for the free update.  We will even help you program your truck!

    Attention: The Smarty S67 will now work on 2007.5-2012 (with the exception of 2011+ Cab & Chassis) trucks even those with ECM bootloader software produced after the date 03-04-2009.
    AND....this is very important...unlike the Smarty Programmers for the 5.9L's Mads Electronics(Smarty) does not guarantee "no detectability" by your dealer.

    ATTENTION:  THIS WILL NOT WORK ON 2011+ CAB AND CHASSIS MODELS!

    "I just put the S-67-ME on my 2012 6.7 yesterday with all of the deletes and all I can say is I should have done it sooner. The amount of soot inside the intake under the grid heater was unbelievable with only 25,000 miles. The truck runs and breathes like it should now thanks to DPP. These guys went the extra mile to make sure my products made it to me on time, next day airing my programmer to get it here the same time as the rest of my items W/O being asked to do so or charging me extra. Thanks DPP!!!"

    "Expensive tuner but worth the price. Added the RaceMe to my 2008 Dodge 6.7 Cummins. Now the engine breathes easy and gets an overall 3 mpg increase including town driving tuned to the SW3 setting. Lots more get up and go."

    "Easy to use on my '08 6.7L Ram. Immediate difference. A month later I still can't believe the difference. 2-3 MPG increase so far with empty truck and level 3. Love the PoD so I can limit the power, and use full throttle and know it will hook up and not break the tires loose."

    "This tuner did exactly what it states. I wanted a truck that looks stock, and goes like it should. Even on setting #1, it is a night and day difference. Ni need for extra gages, as long as your smart, you won't ruin anything. Can't wait to cakculate milage. Truck is a 2007 dodge dually quad cab 6.7 manual 6 spd 4 x 4 with 4" lift and 33" tires."
