Intake Manifold (Large Mouth)

All CFM Plus intakes are designed using proven engineering principles and the results are confirmed with bench flow testing. As you can see in the comparison image the stock intake with its sharp bend in the air flow path causes reduced flow and turbulence. This is typical of stock intakes as they are not designed for maximum air flow or performance.

CFM's LargeMouth model is specifically designed with a large 3 1/2” diameter opening which delivers even more cfm than the SmallMouth model which alreadys delivers more than 40% more air flow than stock. More air means better economy, more power, lower EGT’s better throttle response and less work for your turbo.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This model also requires that you already have a 3 1/2” diameter intercooler pipe on your diesel engine. If you do not, then you can purchase the pipe kit which comes with a bent steel pipe with a 3 1/2” outlet and 3” inlet to connect to your stock 3” intercooler available in the "Related Products" section below. If you need the intercooler pipe, you have the option of either a black or blue hose kit to come with the pipe. Read more about the 3 1/2" Intercooler pipe here.
CFM+ LargeMouth Intake Manifolds are available in a
variety of colors. Simply choose your color option from the menu below. (Flat black is no longer available, only gloss black).
LargeMouth intakes also have an option for with or without 3 pre-tapped ports for a variety of power adders or for a boost gauge. Choose whether or not you would like this option below.
Note: For 2004 model year PowerStrokes, the addition of an aftermarket intake manifold is considered for "Off-Road Use Only" due to the fact that in model year 2004 only, there was an EGR valve within the factory plenum, and installing an aftermarket intake manifold will delete possibly circumventing state or federal rules regarding emissions. If you do choose to use our part for off-road use only, removing the spacer and butterfly valve will cause your truck to throw a code. However, in most cases, it will not turn on your check-engine light.
