Description
This is Dodge's solution to the problem that doesn't exist. These kits tie the front wheels together eliminating independent toe in and out. The idea is to cut down on tire wear and death wobble. In our experience this kit will not make up for other worn front end components such as steering gear box and ball joints, but it will make your front end feel much tighter and more responsive. Now, we won't put our stamp on it as a fix for "death wobble," but it sure has made a dramatic impact even on our own personal trucks. IMPORTANT NOTES: Replacement Nuts We highly recommend replacing the nuts that hold the new steering linkage in place. The original nuts are a castle type nut with cotter pin, however the new linkage does not have provisions for the cotter pins. Instead it uses lock nuts. While the original castle nuts will thread on, we highly recommend replacing with new lock nuts. Pitman Arm An upgraded pitman arm is offered as an additional option for 2003-2008 model years. The new pitman arm features an improved angle that minimizes the tie rod angle, maximizing tie rod life. Your stock pitman arm will work if you choose to go with that. If you have a lifted truck that requires a dropped pitman arm, you will not have any need for the new pitman arm that we offer because it has stock drop, and your aftermarket dropped pitman arm will work just fine with the new upgrade. Steering Stabilizer You WILL need a different stabilizer with this kit since it no longer has the "stud style" attachment point that your current stock one does. We offer our most popular steering stabilizer upgrade, the Carli Stainless Steel Low Mount.

While its true that we are huge advocates for the aftermarket industry, in certain instances, the factory really got it right! For this reason, we offer numerous original equipment replacement parts, as well as genuine Mopar upgrades / accessories for your Ram. For those unfamiliar, Mopar is essentially the brand associated with any factory parts for Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, or Jeep vehicles. The name œMopar was originally coined in 1937 to launch Chryslers line parts and accessories that all start with antifreeze. The actual name œMopar came about from œmotor and œparts, pretty creative huh?! Well, maybe not that creative, but the name has stuck this entire time and become a household name in the automotive industry.

Q&A

04.5 ram 3500, I was gonna get the mopar big box steering gear and the 09' "T" style upgrade steering kit. Will the recommended pitman arm work for the mopar steering gear?
Yes the recommended pitman arm will work with the T-style steering.
I have an 01 dodge ram 2500 4x4. I'm swapping the axles with some 09, I know I'll need a new steering box what should I do to make everything work?
You would need some custom control arms built and a 3rd gen track bar conversion. Plus a modified front drive shaft.
Why will this not fit the 01 2500?
This will not fit onto a the 1994-2002 body style due to the axle, frame and steering gearbox location being completely different. It is not certified to fit these truck BUT the drag links upper tie rod can be cut and shortened to allow proper position of the steering wheel to allow this kit to work. THIS WILL VOID THE PRODUCTS WARRANTY. -Mark
