The 6/170/50% is an intermediate level injector. Some compromise to your day to day driving style may occur, as these injectors flow a larger volume of fuel much more quickly than a stock nozzled injector. This injector will give a substantial increases in 'bottom end' pulling power, while not running out of fuel to feed the top end fueling needs for your vehicle. This injector model is less 'picky' as to which programmer/fueling box you may already have on your vehicle, though for maximum performance, we highly recommend our SCT X3 with custom programming.
The 6/170/50% utilizes a nozzle that has been EDM'd (electrical discharge machined) using a microscopic video camera alignment process, which individually aligns each hole in the nozzle for angle and concentricity. This process is vastly superior to the much cheaper process, proudly touted by other injector builders, as using "EDM" nozzles, in which the nozzle is simply attached within an index table and automatically rotated and tilted to a predetermined (read: approximate!) location & angle. This cheap method of enlarging nozzle holes creates a very weak nozzle; one that is prone to breakage, due to an overlap of the new hole with an existing factory hole, rather than a clean "overbore" of the existing holes. Turbocharger upgrades are highly recommended!
CORE CHARGES:
WE CHARGE AN UPFRONT CORE CHARGE TO ENSURE YOURS ARE RETURNED PROMPTLY. ONCE WE RECEIVE YOUR CORE INJECTORS, A REFUND OF $1000 WILL BE ISSUED BACK TO YOU!
If your
cores have been exposed to gasoline, water, or poor fuel filtration,
then you can assume that all eight of the plungers and barrel assemblies
will be damaged, and will need to be replaced at a cost of $480 per
set. Normal injector wear, to include poppet valve wear, fuel plate
erosion, loss of internal spring tension, etc. is considered normal, and
these parts are repaired or replaced on every set. Normal wear will
not be subject to any loss of core charge refund.
