T/Rex Technology Steering Box Stabilizer
1994-2011 5.9L / 6.7L Dodge Cummins
Are you tired of constantly fighting steering wander and "death wobble" from your Dodge Ram? For years, Dodge trucks have had a notorious issue with these types of problems that result in the premature failure of steering boxes, tie rods, pitman arm, steering shaft...you name it! Most of these issues stem from the ability of the pitman arm to flex and lean away from the steering box, which then is amplified through the numerous joints in the steering leading to the axles and wheels. The simplest way to prevent these issues is to install a brace that ties the pitman arm and gear box to the frame of the truck, such as this custom unit from T/Rex Technology. This is a true bolt-in installation that takes about a half of an hour to install with simple hand tools. Simply choose your model year selection from below, and you're on your way to a true-tracking Dodge Ram!
*NOTE: Starting in model year 2009, Dodge began to install larger pitman arms and steering boxes on the 2500 and 3500's. This change also increased the nut size, which will affect which kit you need. To ensure which steering box stabilizer you need, simply measure the diameter of the nut that holds the pitman arm to the gear box. If you have the 03-08 setup, the nut size will be a 1 1/4", if you have the new style, you will have a 1 7/8".
