Changing to performance valve springs, seals or retainers on your Cummins 24V is as easy as it gets with this tool. Before Tork started designing a new tool, they first looked at what's out there in the market place. Their goal was to improve the design so it functions better and offer it for less money. It just doesn't make sense to duplicate a design that could be improved!
We found a very expensive tool that retails for $149.99. We didn't like the fact that you could lose the keepers if they fell through the slot. The Cummins tool was also pricey and needed a design revision. It was just too thin to hold the keepers while you install them.
The Cummins Valve Spring Compressor by Tork Tools features a tapered design that reduces the chance of losing a valve keeper. There is nothing more frustrating than losing a valve keeper, especially when you need your Dodge Cummins 24V for work on Monday morning.
The improved heavy duty design replaces the thin torch cut tool of the past. The tapered bore creates a cavity for easy manipulation of the keepers onto the valve stem. Our design also features an aluminum top plate so your magnetic pencil doesn't stick to the tool.
The bridge places the threaded stud directly on the center line of the injector bore. This design feature applies force on all four valve springs. Changing your Cummins 24 valve springs is now an easy Saturday project.

"Well built and sturdy. I already had the head off when I used it, so I had to tap the valves to get the locks to release under compression. It’s a little tricky to line up just right to center everything. The plate does rotate a little as you tighten the nut on the forcing screw, which will throw you out of alignment, but overall does the job the best out of the different spring compressors I’ve used."

"Ok just one more review today lol. . Okay who doesn't like tools?? if you said you don't, then this review is not for you. . . no really don't read it. . As for the rest of you, this is a must have if you plan on doing a cam and spring swap without removing the head. As for DPP they had the best price, part was in stock so I blew the dust off the debit card and spent some of my children's college money. . Shipping was fast and FedEx got the right house this time. . Now I'm not going to go through the process of swapping springs but if I did the use of this tool would be the only part that went as planned lol. It's a well-built piece, easy to use and worked perfectly. What more do you want from a tool?? If you plan on spring swap with the heads on there is no other way. The price is fair for the tool and well worth the money. Plus tell your friends that know any better that it cost like 400$ and you will loan it to them for 50$ to do their spring swap lol. . Looks good sitting in the tool box when not in use. No complaints from me so it gets the 5 star stamp. ."
