Description
The health and overall functionality of the water pump on your Cummins is critical to the long term health of the engine. Without proper coolant circulation through the water jackets, your engine will quickly overheat, potentially causing catastropic failure. Over time, the original water pump will lose its ability to properly pump water due to fatigue and must be replaced. When that time comes, ensure you're replacing the pump with a quality replacement, such as this unit directly from Cummins themselves. Kit comes with a replacement O-ring and re-uses the factory bolts.

- How is the longevity of the pump life and how dose it stack up against the original pump?
- While we cannot give an exact time frame due to the multiple applications this pump can be used for it is the updated designed water pump that doesn't have the leaking issues from some of the original pumps. We do typically recommend Bulletproofs water pump since it is a physically larger bearing. ( Part # 90201228). -Mark

- No, it is a standard cast water pump with a plastic impeller. That is what Cummins has went to instead of metal. -Sands
