As many owners of 5.9L Cummins have come to find out, the factory exhaust manifold has a severe flaw...it cracks! The problem lies in the tendency of the exhaust manifold to overheat, causing it to expand, and then contract when it cools. All of this expanding and contracting takes its toll on the cast manifold, causing it to create heat-induced cracks. Fortunately, we have numerous solutions for this! We carry 3-piece ported exhaust manifold from BD, ATS, Industrial Injection, and PDI. These manifolds are superior because of their 3-piece design, allowing them to expand and contract, but "slip" along the joints, thus not allowing it to crack. We also carry one piece stainless steel manifolds, that simply due to their material, will not be subject to damage caused by heat cycles.
