The air cleaner assembly is where your engine begins making power. Without adequate airflow as part of the equation, your Powerstroke simply cannot breathe, resulting in poor performance and fuel economy, coupled with high exhaust gas temperatures (EGT's). While the design of the stock intake is relatively efficient, upgrading to a higher flowing aftermarket system can drastically improve overall airflow, delivering better overall engine performance and efficiency. For our customers in the state of California, or for others outside of California, but would like to comply with CARB (California Air Resource Board), we will feature the CARB Executive Order (EO) Number on individual product listings. This will assist you in determining whether the air intake you are purchasing is able to pass emissions inspections in the state of California while installed on your vehicle.
