While the factory unit bearing is non-serviceable and prone to failure, the Free-Spin hub conversion offers ease of maintenance, a much smoother ride, better steering control, greater fuel economy, and longer axle and driveshaft life. I gave it a 4 because installation was pretty intencse for a do it your selfer. I picked up about 2mpg overall and I'm optimistic that it will save me money down the road with having less maintenance.

Feels like my truck lost a thousand pounds. i find myself speeding more than normal now because it drives so much smoother. good time to take advantage of doing ball joints if not already replaced as well. once again the worst part is removing the old parts. PB blaster is my new best friend.

I have been running this for about 6000 kms and am very impressed with it. I haven't done any hard calculations with fuel economy but using the in vehicle computer I get approx 5% to 8% increase. Significantly reduced front axle u-joint wear and best of all with the front wheels unlocked I can put the transfer case in 4 low and park my 5th wheel trailer like a breeze.

Great product!
Pretty easy to install. I replaced upper and lower ball joints on both sides while I was at it and plus the free spin hub conversion and it took me 6-7 hours in my driveway. So not too bad of a job.

Very pleased with this kit
Nice kit. Components and machining are excellent. Would have been 5 stars but the Warn hubs came with 2 snap rings (external snap ring and a spirolox clip) neither one fit the groove in the new short shaft correctly. One was for a 1-3/8"" groove and the other a 1-1/2"", The groove in the short shaft is about 1.425"" so the small clip would be misshapen and the larger clip was too loose. No big deal to address but still not a home run. After 1650mi I did see a ~1mpg increase and the truck drives much better. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

What is the difference between the warn and the dynaloc hubs? Thanks,?

The Dynaloc hubs are lower profile then the Warn hubs(don't stick out as far). They lock in with less of a turn 1/8th turn for dynaloc vs 1/4 for Warn. The Dynalocs are a heavier duty hub they are built a little better. Would be better suited for truck running high hp or doing a lot of offroading.

I have a set of these on an 05 ram 2500, My question is are they re buildable seems my right side wheel bearing is bad, Don't know how many miles or if its been greased Truck has 155K on it and the manual hubs were on it when I got it?

Yes, these can be re-greased, or serviced. These use a standard bearing
