This injector set will deliver around 75 horsepower at the wheels. You can use these with stock programming, or standard non-custom tuning, as they are what is known as a split shot injector. Ford Powerstrokes began using split shot injectors with the release of the SuperDuty in 1999 in order to reduce engine noise, as it essentially shoots a small amount of fuel, a pre-ignition, before the main injection event. Many injector manufacturers only build single shot injectors, as were used from the factory in the earlier model Powerstrokes, but this requires custom tuning in order to run in the later model Powerstrokes. While single shot injection is not necessarily a bad idea, due to the requirement of running custom tuning, they are typically more costly, and not necessary on "smaller" performance injectors.
In most cases, your mileage will increase by 1-2 MPG's with these injectors.
These injectors are brand new Alliant Power injectors that are modified by Dynomite, so you can be assured you are not getting poorly remanufactured injectors.
Long lead refers specifically to the #8 injector. Due to complaints of a "cackle" that stems from the #8 injector having less than satisfactory fueling after the #6 injector immediately fires, a revised injector was designed that would open slightly longer than was originally designed. It is recommended to only replace with a long lead if your truck currently has a long lead, as switching between the two will require a new PCM flash. To determine if you have a Long Lead injector, the injector will have "LL" stamped on the top.
All injectors come with a one year, unlimited mileage warranty!

Would these injectors work in a 2000 7.3 Ford Excursion??
Yes, that will work on a 2000 7.3L engine.
I have a 2000 7.3 Excursion, do I go with long lead injector or no long lead injector? Is there a way to check for this instead of tearing everything out to check the injectors??
You might be able to get part numbers from your dealer for the injectors and determine that way. Sure fire way would be just popping the drivers side valve cover off. DppSands
