Many owners of 3rd Generation (2007.5-2009) 6.7L Cummins owners prefer running a 2nd Generation (1998.5-2002) style exhaust manifold in order to center the turbo on the cylinders which also allows for use of a divided manifold. This sounds simple enough, but most don't think about the fact that this also moves the downpipe, oil lines, and air intake, causing a bit of a headache to make it all work. Fleece Performance builds this complete kit that will allow you to mount up an S400 turbo of your choice utilizing an ATS 3 Piece Pulse Flow 2nd Generation T4 exhaust manifold, Fleece ManTake air intake, and all of the proper installation components for a complete install.
But why would you want to go through the trouble of making such a conversion? The major benefit besides equal cylinder distribution is that it allows for the use of a divided manifold. Capitalizing on the individual cylinder impulses in a divided manifold greatly increases spool up and driving characteristics with a properly matched turbo.
OPTIONAL TURBO INFORMATION:
FLEECE S463 TURBO: Bigger is not always better! Whether you want to get rid of your problem plagued VGT or VNT turbo, on your 6.7 Cummins or Duramax, or you're just after that classic the S463 is a great place to start for any sub 700 RWHP application. With a smaller compressor and turbine package, matched with the .90 turbine housing, the Fleece S463 offers great spool up and driving characteristics, without sacrificing reliability. The robust S400 chassis has all of the big features it needs for long term, reliable power delivery. This is Fleece Performance's "GO TO" turbo for any 5.9 Common Rail Cummins, 6.7 Common Rail Cummins, or Duramax truck with mild fueling upgrades that still needs to work for a living. Well rounded for day to day commuter driving, and better suited for heavier towing applications than some of the larger alternatives.
FLEECE S467 TURBO: This S467 from Fleece Performance is not your standard out-of-the box S467.7 from Borg Warner. Different in nearly every way than the common 67.7FMW, the Fleece Performance Cast S467 with .90 exhaust housing offers superb driving characteristics with enough air for more than 800 RHWP. Best suited for non-working, daily driver/weekend warrior, type applications, the cast S467 offers little compromise in overall driving characteristics when complimented with proper fueling modifications. With its growing reputation for smooth and responsive power, it's sure to put a smile on your face when you let this turbo loose.

This kit is available without an exhaust manifold, as well. However, if you are going to be sourcing your own, please note that it must feature an angled down outlet flange, as some manifolds come straight out.

Does this utilize factory spec down pipe? I currently have 5” turbo back, but was curious about downpipe fitment.?
It would not use the factory downpipe. We can get one from Fleece or you can have one made for the S400 outlet. The Fleece one is 313.95. It is 4in, you would need to install a 4in to 5in adapter. If you knew a good fabricator, they could modify yours also. Would need a elbow and a S400 turbine outlet flange and clamp. -Sands
