Have you ever drained the coolant in your Duramax? If so, how was the bath? Changing the coolant in a Duramax can be frustrating, why wouldn't they install a lower drain? Since GM bypassed this notion, this simple to install kit will allow for simple and clean fluid swaps.
Installation of this kit is really simple. First, drain the fluid by simply poking a hole at the bottom of the radiator hose since you'll be cutting it in half anyways. Once the fluid is drained, cut in hose in half, nice and square. Then, slide a clamp on each side. Finally, slide the drain piece in line, tighten the clamps, and add new fluid.
IMPORTANT NOTE: GRP's product line was originally intended for installation shops and to be purchased in bulk quantity, which in turn means that there are no installation instructions that come with any of their products. We feel that this compromise is easily countered with the exceptional craftsmanship that goes into these kits, as well as the price point. If you are unsure of how to install any of their components, but still want to tackle the job yourself, there are plenty of generic installation videos available online that will allow you to still take advantage of the benefits of purchasing GRP.
