The factory Ford 5R110 suffers from weak points in the converter, clutch pack assemblies, valve body and line pressure limitations. These weaknesses arise when the motor's power is increased or in towing applications. ATS addressed these concerns by re-designing the torque converter, transmission pump, valve body and clutch packs. The result is a solid transmission setup to meet the demands of your Ford Super Duty. Ensure that the power of your Powerstroke is getting to the ground with an ATS Transmission Package.
By increasing the line pressure, clutch pack surface area and modifying the valve body, the 5R110 becomes a consistent, responsive and dependable transmission. The Stage 3 adds a billet 300M input shaft and billet flex plate. As power increases over 400hp, or considerable weight will be towed, the input shaft and flex plate take the brunt of it. The ATS billet components are designed to withstand extreme torque, converter lock-up sooner than stock, and competition and towing use. The ATS Stage 3 5R110 is designed for trucks that see daily driving and towing duties, aggressive tuning, and a modified turbo and/or injectors.
ATS transmissions are backed by a 5 year / 500,000 mile warranty - regardless of power level or use.
SHIPPING POLICY - PLEASE READ - Due to the size and weight of transmissions, they cannot be shipped through traditional couriers, such as UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc. and MUST be shipped via truck freight. For this reason, we cannot offer free shipping on transmissions. However, we do offer the option to pay for return shipping up front. If you select this option once your core transmission is ready to be picked up, you just need to give us a call with your original order number and the core tag on the transmission, and we'll take care of the rest. How much horsepower and torque is this rated for??
ATS does not rate their transmissions by horsepower. We make recommendations on what you have done or are planning on doing to your truck. Also what you do with your truck. If you have a 600 hp daily that doesn't tow we would recommend one trans, if you have a 600hp truck and you tow everyday. We are going to recommend a different transmission. DppSands
How much gears has it got?

Would you recommend this for 1000HP+ daily driver/ weekend drag machine??
I would recommend something a little heavier then that transmission for 1000hp. I would rate that transmission at about 700hp. DppSands
What does defer mean when checking out for core charge??
Hi Dylan We give the option to defer the core charge. Which means you have a 21-day grace period from when you receive the product to send the core back. As long as we get it within the 21 days, you do not get charges a core. If it takes longer than 21 days, the core charge is charged to the card on file. Not to fret, you can still send it back, and get refunded. -Ben
