Exhaust kits for your Duramax that are labeled as "turbo back" are not really an actual turbo back design. In actuality, they start out at the factory turbo direct pipe that is attached to the turbo. The factory turbo direct pipe is bottlenecked in order to provide more than ample room at the firewall, which yields poor exhaust flow. If you're ready to make your exhaust a REAL turbo back, then you need this component from Magnaflow.

This is built from 3" mandrel bent stainless steel and features a durable high temperature thermal coating. A fiberglass based heat wrap is also used to provide further insulation from the passenger compartment and firewall due to the closer proximity of the larger, higher flowing pipe.
