This kit from BD features the same separator plate as used in their complete ProTect68 Trans Pressure Control Kit, but without the Pressure Controller Electronics for those that are running TCM Transmission Tuning, such as HS Overdrive Software or via EFILive.
So, what's the reasoning behind this? Basically, the stock valve body separator plate is one of the restrictions in your transmission pump's ability to increase and maintain pressure above 175 psi. By adding this separator plate from BD, you will better take advantage of the transmission tuning you already have by removing a bottleneck that currently prohibits the full benefits of your tuning.
