Are you looking for more power from additional turbo boost coupled with additional reliability for your 6.7 Powerstroke?
Back on the 2011-2014 models, Ford experienced countless failures of the factory turbo. These failures led to several major revisions in order to increase the reliability throughout the years. The biggest change occurred on the 2015-2016 models that seemed to be considerably more reliable than their predecessors. Nonetheless, upon release of the newly redesigned 2017 Powerstroke, Ford unveiled yet another major upgrade, so much that it was decided this turbo should be superseded back to the 2015-2016 models. This change does require some additional components, but fortunately, a complete kit is included in order to accommodate the upgrade.
And for those of us that demand even more, we offer you this upgraded charger that is based off of the 2017+ model year turbos, but featuring a high flowing, billet extended tip compressor wheel for additional airflow, creating more power and lower EGT's (Exhaust Gas Temperatures). In essence, this turbo is a direct drop-in, but because its actually using the 2017+ turbo, it will require an additional installation kit that is provided with the purchase of the turbo. Further, while this turbo does not require any custom tuning due to it being a direct drop in that retains the stock variable geometry design, because of its larger displacement, we recommend having some type of performance tuning to gain the full advantage of the additional airflow.
