Death Wobble Gone!
I have a 2010 dodge 2500 & upgraded the steering box to a Red Head steering box & the steering box stabilizer was on sale & I had heard good things about it so I decided to give it a try. I have now put 1200 mi on them both & it has completely taken away the dreaded ""death wobble""! Steering is much tighter & feels great! It is very well built & seems heavy duty. I also like that it's Made in the USA!

I would buy this product again and again.
We travel on lots of log roads to access mountain top communication sites for work. This was a attempt to better my steering and it is a must with oversized tires. The stabilizer tightened up my steering substantially. This company delivered my product with no hassle. I have to say it is one of the more sensible upgrades I have done. Thanks.

Thanks for your review and purchase with Diesel Power Products! Every little bit helps when taking care of the Dodge front end issues. Making sure the frame rails are rigid helps the steering box do its job better.

Thanks for your review and purchase with Diesel Power Products! Dodge Ram steering leaves a lot on the table. Luckily there are many aftermarket parts, like this one, to help that.

Death Wobble Free Prospector XL!
YES!!!!! I had the steering Death Wobble from time to time! It was actually a good indication that it was time to rotate my tires. It would come every 5-6 thousand miles. When the tires got real bad it would happen more frequently and i would need to pull over or slow down to 35ish MPH. A little more detail is that I drive a 2018 Prospector XL (modified Ram 2500 on 40""tires). Its awesome, I love it and I drive it almost everyday! I'm guessing the Death wobble will be more severe on my 40"" tires then most of you will experience. When the truck is on new tires the DW happens less frequently but it still happens from time to time. The BD Stabilizer took it away!!!!! It is a quick install but if you own a Prospector XL you will need to modify the tab that goes to the steering box from the stabilizer bar. AEV moves the front end of the truck 1.5 inches forward in the Prospector XL so the stock tab from BD is too short. It took me an hour to cut, add and weld the existing piece to fit. No biggie for me and i am a novice welder. I also stepped it up a 1/2 inch so it would slide onto the receiving bearing deeper. It is awesome!! It should go onto every Ram 2500!!! Specifically Ram's with bigger than stock tires!!!

Well hello there. Welcome to my review of the...
Well hello there. Welcome to my review of the BD Steering Box Stabilizer. I recently upgraded my 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 with a new 6 bolt steering box. The new box made my original BD steering brace obsolete. The good people at DPP got me hooked up with the newer version for my larger steering box. As always shipping was fast and the product was as described. Installation is pretty straight forward. The only real challenge is getting the pitman arm nut torqued to the required 1 million foot pounds. Good god bring a friend. The part is quality built with a good durable finish (If you like the hammered powder coat finish that is.. Me, not so much). All hardware is included plus Loctite for your nuts.. I can't say I really noticed any difference with or without it since I had just recently replaced all my steering components, but I saw what happened to the factory box before, even with a brace on it, so I believe its money well spent. I run 355's on 20x12 rims and those things play hell on steering components. You get your money's worth with this part and you're not going to get a better deal or customer service with anybody other than DPP. So go ahead get one, heck order 2 and give one to a friend. Side note: I run the 6 dropped pitman arm from Carli (purchased it here at DPP)and it is thicker than the factory pitman arm which, in return, caused the need for a couple shims under the bearing plate. No big deal, it's in and on and works great. Just a little FYI in case you have the Carli pitman arm. That's is all. Product AAAproved

Hello I didn't do enough research when ordering my BD Steering Box Stabilizer and I ordered the wrong one. I ordered a :BD-1032007 when I needed a BD-1032005. My question is i was wondering if I could by just the bearing and the piece that the bearing attaches too and replaces the nut on the steering box? My other option maybe is that I think that my steering box is going bad and I should just replace with the upgraded steering box that the BD-1032007 steering box stabilizer. Is the Borgeson ""Dodge Box"" Steering Box SKU:BG-800123 the correct steering box for the stabilizer that I brought? Thank you for your help.?

No those stabilizers are different the 2007 will not work on a truck needing a 2005 the angles are different. The correct steering gear to use with that stabilzer would be the Mopar upgrades steering box. The borgeson one will fit with the correct pitman arm nut.

Is this compatible with a western plow mount on a 2016 ram 2500 diesel?

Not familiar with mounting those. The sbs mounts under the swaybar mount. If that plow mount also mounts there that is alot of stuff stacked up there and you may run into interference.

Yes just make sure you verify what steering box you have so you purchase the correct one.

2016 Ram 2500 Cummins 4X4 with AEV 3"" dualsport SC package 17"" salta wheel with 37's. The steering wanders and is allot of work keeping a line. Truck only has 5500km so I am right that this is the component I need to tighten up the steering? Have a stock 2015 with 33's and it drives like it's on rails compared to the 37's.?

This unit will not work with the AEV suspension kits.
