Designed in a joint engineering effort between BD Diesel Performance and BorgWarner Turbo Systems' AirWerks program, these turbo systems for the 5.9 liter Cummins engine flow enough air for racing applications, yet are responsive and durable enough for street and heavy towing applications. Plus, they're backed by a one year factory warranty!
Featuring BorgWarner's unique Extended Tip compressor wheel technology and low inertia, full-floating journal bearings, these turbos utilize BD's unique dual-volute turbine housing. This proven design utilizes low rpm exhaust pulses for improved turbine response, while the dual-action waste gate bleeds off turbine drive pressure from both volutes. BD's turbo systems also feature a heavy-duty waste gate actuator that prevents pre-mature opening caused by high exhaust pressure. You can even fine-tune your BD/AirWerks turbo for ambient temperature and barometric pressure changes using BD's adjustable waste gate control.
Put simply, you'll get more power, quicker response, cooler EGT's (Exhaust Gas Temperatures) and lower exhaust emissions with a BD/AirWerks turbocharger!
TWIN TURBO SYSTEMS are designed for high-powered '94-'07 5.9 liter Cummins applications without cylinder head modifications, the Super B twin can easily flow enough air for up to 575 rear wheel horsepower on diesel only. Add a BD Cool-It intercooler and a shot of nitrous oxide, and watch the power level climb! Great street and strip drivability, easy installation, and the factory oil coolers can be retained.
These kits are complete with all necessary intake and exhaust piping and oil drains. Head studs are recommended when running twin turbos. The 12mm ARP studs are fine with BD Twins. No head tapping required.

Would this fit on a first gen 5.9?
You are going to have to make a custom downpipe and charge piping. It is not going to be a full bolt on kit, but you could get it to work. And you are going to need more fuel. DppSands
Will this make the truck roll more coal?
That is quite a suggestive question that would need A LOT more context to answer. Generally speaking, if you are having high EGT issues, and are get getting excessive smoke from the tail pipe, running a compound turbo system would actually help your truck run cleaner, and make more power. -Ben
