The factory vacuum operated turbo control system on the 6.5L's had issues for years. The vacuum pump that operates the system is known to lock up and destroy the serpentine belt. In order to permanently correct the issue, install one of BD's simplistic wastegate kits that combine with the turbo wastegate valve to create a smooth working, fully adjustable system.

I have a 1999 3500 6.5td, I have a friend who told me about this and is happy with his out come but one thing now he has a code p0236( boast sensor range to high) that he clears all the time. if I buy your product what else to you have that I may need to not have to clear this code all the time??
For sustained boost pressures over 8psi, it can throw that code. There are guys that are home making turbo boost foolers with basic wiring and resistors.
I have a 2001 express van. Which would it take??
