BD's ProTect 68 Trans Pressure Control kit adds 150% of the torque holding force to stock transmissions like no others can. Kit includes a newly designed valve body separator plate and a Pressure Control module that delivers up to 250 PSI clutch apply pressure providing 150% of the holding force above stock to prevent clutch slippage. All of this without modifying the transmission pump or removing the transmission.
The 68RFE transmission has proven itself as a drastic improvement over Dodge's previous model 4-speed transmissions by a LONG SHOT, and some would say that it even rivals the Allison 1000's and Ford's newer transmissions. However, as with anything automotive, they all have their breaking points, and BD has discovered several small parts to increase pressure for more holding power that have proven themselves as great upgrades.
The ProTect 68 Electronic Pressure Controller dynamically adjusts the hydraulic apply pressures based on turbo boost/ engine load. The module's dynamic control ramps up the much larger sweep right up to 250 PSI mainline pressure as needed - dependent on engine load which creates turbocharger boost dynamically. This is not accomplished with any other aftermarket engine tuner.
Installation takes 2-to-3 hours to complete without having to do a full transmission relearn since no internal tolerances have changed. A "fresh" stock transmission will have the ability to handle up to 500hp. For higher power or demands, a complete BD 68RFE transmission with additional clutches and new designed components is recommended.
Also available from BD for the 68RFE transmission, Heavy Duty Trans Pan, Triple Torque Force Torque Converters and Build-It rebuild kits.

Will this work if I have efi live with a trans tune on my truck? How would it stack with the efi tcm tune? Also I have a boost fooler, would it work with that??
This Pressure controller kit would be best used without the trans tuning. Stacking them so to speak would cause to high of line pressures. So we would suggest running this item without the EFI live TCM tuning. Lastly the Boost Fooler would not effect the Pressure controller kit no.
Hi. I'm looking to add the pressure control kit and plate for now. In the future I will be doing a delete and adding the raceme ultra tuner to the truck. Will this work with the raceme ultra if I don't use the line pressure boost in the tuner. I would like to use the tuner to adjust shift points and torch converter lockup.?
Yes that would still work perfect like that. But you are correct I wouldn't raise the line pressure up with the tuner and the Protect kit. The pump and valve body can only take so much.
Does this product require any kind of tuning to use??
No tuning is required, it is included as a control module - AW
