I was born and raised here in Spokane and ever since I could remember my dad had me turning wrenches on our own vehicles. He always told us “it’s always cheaper to do it yourself.” I love working on cars with my dad and we still do to this day but it’s a bit different with all this new emissions stuff. We are still in the process of rebuilding our 1981 Cobra Mustang that my dad restored many years ago. We are changing it over to automatic from a manual transmission and giving it way more power so we can drag race it sometimes but mostly just to have a hot rod to drive around.

When I was a little kid my dad and I did everything together from working on cars to playing in the woods. He got me into hunter's education classes when I was in 4th grade. We would go hunting every fall and take me shooting every chance we could get. In between all of that I would play softball. I have been playing since I was 5 and I still play to this day just not as much as I used. Back in high school I would play fastpitch and slow-pitch each school year. We pretty much play in the beer drinking league now!

Many years later I met my husband in 2002 and he got me into drag racing. We went and got my first car which was a 1970 Chevrolet Nova that I drove daily and drag raced for a few years. After we sold it, we began racing my husband's 1972 Nova for a bit. We got out of that and into dirt bikes. Ask any of my friends and they will tell you that I’m crazy good at anything that has an engine and that I like to go fast. My daily driver is a 2018 Ford Edge Sport Twin Turbo.

After I graduated high school I married my best friend in 2007. Shortly after that we bought a 2001 Dodge Cummins and needed some parts and that’s how I met Bryan. We bought parts from him when he was operating out of his garage. I also met Cooper when we bought our truck when he worked for Dave Smith. Back then they were nice people and well, they still are. My husband and I now have an going-on 10-year-old who acts like she is 17. She does everything we do and absolutely loves it especially if it has an engine or she can get dirty playing in the woods. She is our mini me for sure.

When I found the job listing and figured out it was Cooper on the other end I knew it was meant to be. I now have found my forever home here at Diesel Power Products. It feels like I have been part of the family for many years. Everyone here treats you with respect and makes you feel like part of the family. The best part of working here in shipping and receiving is I get to do what I love doing and see all the cool builds going in and out of the shop. Plus, whenever they film in the shop I get to see that. All in all PPU is the COOLEST PLACE EVER!!!!!
