Whether you've just started making improvements to your EcoDiesel or you've installed the whole gambit of exhaust, cold air intake, and maybe some sort of module, it's important to not over look your intercooler. AFE Power's BladeRunner Intercooler puts your OE cooler to shame offering up an astounding 15% more airflow. And we know from experience that more airflow equates more power. Quit letting your stock parts rob your EcoDiesel of power, grab this intercooler and enjoy! This kit does NOT include the required AFE tubes and boots for install. This product is sold under the impression that the end user either already has, or plan on getting the AFE tube kit(AFE-46-20174-B or 46-20174-R)AFE's Blade Runner GT series intercooler for your 14-15 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel makes for a huge improvement over your stock intercooler. It is important to remember that your intercooler is just as important for keeping cold, dense air flowing to your engine as a cold air intake. Anytime you can increase the amount of cool air you'll see gains in both horsepower and torque.
AFE corrects the stock intercooler by utilizing a much larger 3" bar and plate core design and then couples that with a set of huge end tanks. Throw in a series of intercooler tubes and you've got 15% better airflow than your stock system.
The intercooler itself is constructed from aluminum and the end tanks are created with 3/16" TIG-Welded aluminum plates. Built directly into the system, the intercooler features a 1/8" NPT brass breather vent that drains condensation and can be plugged--if desired--by a 1/8" NPT plug. The BladeRunner Intercooler is rated to 200psi, ideal for high boost situations.
Installation is a snap. The BladeRunner system utilizes your factory mounting locations which makes for a hassle installation.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is the intercooler ONLY. The AFE-46-20174-B or AFE-46-20174-R is required to complete the installation of this product.
