Is this turned on and off using uplifter switches or is it esssentially always on??
It has a ""off"" detent. Then the different positions for the increased idle.
Will this work on the 6.2 for pto reasons??
To our knowledge these will only work on the 6.7 Diesel applications.
How long is the supplied cord? Where is the ideal dash-mounted mounting location? Where is the ideal concealed mounting location for the A) dash and B) sixth seat/console for a front bench seat??
From plug to switch is 72 inch. There is really no best place to put that. Somewhere out of the way of knees and keys. BD recommends a spot in the install manual to the left and down from the climate controls. But really anywhere you can route the wiring and feel comfortable drilling a hole. SA
Does this require the emergency brake to be set??
Yes, the vehicle must be in park and the parking brake set in order for this to turn on.-TL
How does this install and what does it plug into????
On the 17-19 Powerstrokes, there is a factory up-fitter wire pigtail behind the passenger side kick panel that this plugs directly into. Simply plug it in, route your harness, and install the switch.-TL
Will it work with a programmed and deleted rig??
Yes, this will work with a programmed vehicle.-TL
Will this work on a 2018 f150 3.0 v6 power stroke diesel??
No it would not, they don't have one available yet. DppSands.
I am concerned about wire routing and drilling to mount it. More concerned with running the wires and where. Also where/how does it exit the passenger kick panel? I like this set up and adjustability but I would feel more comfortable if I saw a video with someone routing the harness. Do you have a video of that? thanks?
We do not have any install videos of that switch. The harness is going to exit out the rear of the kick panel against the fire wall and get tucked behind the carpet. There is a couple different ways a person could route it also a couple different positions the switch could go. You will have to decide where the best place to mount the switch would be for your use. -Sands
