The kit removes the smaller 1.3" ID stock up-pipes and replaces them with a set of quality 304 stainless steel pipes. The BD up-pipes feature a much larger 1.8" internal diameter that keeps important heat energy flowing better than their OE counterparts. Additionally the 304 stainless tubing also prevents harmful blow outs and does not corrode like aluminized or 409 stainless steel. Overall you'll notice better turbo response as well as a drop in EGTs.
