Lighting Technologies Explained

Halogen Lighting:
A halogen bulb is a traditional incandescent design that uses a tungsten filament surrounded by halogen gas. This reaction redeposits evaporated tungsten back onto the filament, extending bulb life and maintaining brightness. Halogen lights remain a cost-effective option, but they’re less efficient than modern systems — converting much of their energy into heat rather than light.

LED (Light Emitting Diode):
LED lighting has quickly become the industry standard, replacing halogen and incandescent bulbs in most modern applications. A single LED produces light output comparable to a halogen bulb, but multiple diodes can fit within the same space, delivering far greater brightness. LEDs are extremely efficient, converting nearly all energy into light rather than heat, and they last significantly longer.
