You could think of the injection pump as the heart of your engine, as its sole responsibility is to pump fuel into your engine for combustion. On modern diesel engines, much of the pressure that the pump produces is determined by signals from the ECM. Bosch is the number one supplier of injection pumps, as well as other fuel system components, to the original vehicle manufacturers thats due in large part to their capacity to produce quality components. Bosch has produced the well known CP3 and CP4 injection pumps found in most modern era diesels, as well as the P7100 pump, and the VP44.
