Description
Carli Suspension has officially raised the bar again with their 6" Radius Arm System for Ram HD's! If you've ever owned a late model Dodge Ram with a six inch or taller lift kit, you understand that there are some serious drawbacks in terms of the performance of the suspension. Basically, the ride quality is extremely poor and the truck actually loses a great deal of its articulation resulting from the control arms being at an extreme downward angle. Unfortunately, most truck owners just take this fact as being part of owning a lifted truck. IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY! Here is where long arms (control arms that mount further back on the frame rail to reduce the angle at which they meet the axle) come into play. A long arm system will drastically increase the front suspension's handling capabilities by minimizing or eliminating the bind that standard control arms put the front axle in. There are two main types of long arm systems for Dodge Rams. The first, and most popular for street driven trucks, is a system that has an upper and a lower bar, similar to the factory, just longer. This type of system works pretty well, but it limits the amount of articulation available simply because the upper bar cannot travel very far upward before it runs into the bottom of the frame rail. The second type of system is what many would consider a radius arm design. The radius arm is a single beam that forks at the axle, and allows for considerable articulation. However, traditional radius arms have a drawback for street trucks in that it cannot control axle dive as well as a traditional upper and lower bar system. So, what system is better? Well, it depends on what you use your truck for (in most cases). This was not good enough for Carli, they wanted to have their cake and eat it too, so, they developed a system that would give the best of both worlds, ride quality, streetability, and articulation. CARLI 6" RADIUS ARM SYSTEM Presenting the Carli 6" Radius Arm System. Now, what makes this system different is the addition of a custom axle control shock. Basically, Carli engineered a radius arm system, robust in every way including internal gusseting to eliminate flex, and then added a nitrogen charged shock as the upper mount on the drivers side. But why would you do this? As mentioned earlier, the disadvantage of a radius arm system is a condition called "axle dive." The most common way to describe axle dive is when you hit the brakes, and the truck wants to veer to one direction because the axle rolls downward on one side more than the other. To combat this, the axle control shock is charged with 200 psi of nitrogen that puts a constant push on the axle, eliminating axle dive. We have personally fitted this system on several of our own trucks, and we can attest 100% that this system will completely change the driving characteristics of any lifted truck for the better. The Carli 6" Radius Arm System is available for all 2003-2013 Dodge Ram 2500 and 2003-2012 3500's with a six inch lift. We have installed this system onto a truck with a 4.5" lift, and can say that it works flawlessly, even though it is not a 6" kit. CROSSMEMBER OPTIONS This system is also available in two different crossmember configurations. For most street trucks, they offer their standard multi-piece crossmember which is plenty strong. But for those that either want the ultimate in strength, or are off-roading the truck, you will want to upgrade to their heavy duty one piece configuration. IMPORTANT SHIPPING NOTICE Due to the size and weight of transmissions, they cannot be shipped through traditional couriers, such as UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc. and MUST be shipped via truck freight. Due to the size and weight of this system, we cannot offer free shipping.

Carli Suspension is truly a brand for enthusiasts, featuring products that are built by enthusiasts. Just watch any of Carli Suspension's videos and you'll understand why they have such a passion for their products.

Stock production trucks are built mainly to keep costs down. From a truck enthusiast's point of view these standards simply are not acceptable. From people looking to get a better ride with a more aggressive stance to people looking to get some serious off road performance, Carli understands the needs of these enthusiasts. This is epitomized by the ever growing list of satisfied customers. Carli Suspensions relentless pursuit of producing the best performing suspension systems is something that can be felt every time a customer drives their truck. Carli wouldnt have it any other way.

CARLI COMPONENTS

You know, its not always about a complete suspension. In fact, some of our best selling Carli products are things like a track bar, Carli ball joints, shocks, coil springs, and more. Maybe you've got a clunk in your front end that has been nailed down to being from a worn out track bar bushing and you did your research (mentioned above) and found out that the best track bar for your Ram or Ford is from Carli, so you buy that one. Or maybe you want a better ride, but only want to replace the coil springs for now. No problem. Sure, Carli is centered around their entire systems, but nearly all of their components can be used interchangeably on a stock height truck or one with an existing leveling or lift kit. We do our best to make note of any fitment requirements on each product page, but if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out and ask, we're happy to help.

Here at Diesel Power Products we only want to sell the best and lets face it, the stock Ram and Ford suspension needs help. Your stock suspension system is designed to be adequate and nothing more. Carli not only makes the ride of your truck better, it makes it safer. Whether you are towing a trailer on the interstate or doing a little off-road adventure, we will attest that you'll be more than satisfied by upgrading to Carli.
