About Mopar | Factory OEM Dodge Ram

While its true that we are huge advocates for the aftermarket industry, in certain instances, the factory really got it right! For this reason, we offer numerous original equipment replacement parts, as well as genuine Mopar upgrades / accessories for your Ram. For those unfamiliar, Mopar is essentially the brand associated with any factory parts for Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, or Jeep vehicles. The name œMopar was originally coined in 1937 to launch Chryslers line parts and accessories that all start with antifreeze. The actual name œMopar came about from œmotor and œparts, pretty creative huh?! Well, maybe not that creative, but the name has stuck this entire time and become a household name in the automotive industry.

I've recommend it to all the diesel guys I know

"80 hp econo on 500 mile road trip got me 18. 5 mpg, stock on the same trip same load was getting 15. 5 best some at 14. It'll pay for itself fast"

Far better than TS 6 position on canned tunes

"I installed once i recieved the tuner and hooked it all up i bought the "flush dash mount" works and looks great. Easy intall. Things i noticed right off the bat with this tuner were the SHIFT points they were far better than the TS 6 position chip. DP tuner is a lot smoother. Performance wise (considering i have stage 1. 5 injectors) it has MUCH more power now glad i bought the DP tuner"

great buy

"I recently purchased the DP- Tuner and I am very happy with it so far. I have a 2000 F 250 4x4 that I purchased in 2006 with around 70,000 miles on it. It was pretty much stock except for some exhaust work and it had a Hypermax 300 already installed in it and I was always pretty happy with everything except that I became unhappy with how it shifted. I don't use the truck for much now except it is nice to have around. Recently I started looking for a chip but really was not that serious until I started having tranny problems at about 170,000 miles when I went camping and was pulling the boat up the mountain. Anyway soon thereafter the tranny gave up the ghost. After I rebuilt it I took out the Hypermax and could not believe how bad the stock performance was not to mention the terrible mileage, the computer went all the way down to the 10's. Incidentally I ordered the DP - Tuner (after reading up and seeing lots of good reviews on it) with the 60 hp tow haul, 80 hp economy, and the 100hp performance. After the installation I put it on the 80 hp economy mode and was immediately impressed, it had great power and it shifted very satisfactorily. I had to get used to the higher shifting rpm but it was no problem. I really like the power all the way through the gears, very impressive. I did not do an actual mileage check yet but it went all the way up to 16. 5 on the computer in regular mixed driving city/highway. I didn't want to try the 100 hp performance for daily driving right away but I did anyway and I like the power even better, talk about burning up the tires. what really surprised me was that the mileage got even better, now it is pushing 18. I hardly ever got 18 in the past, maybe after driving 100 miles downhill!! I was not expecting the tuner to pay for itself in diesel savings but I guess so, awesome. I did not have an opportunity to try the 60hp tow mode yet but I am sure it will be great too. Thanks guys for the great product. Bill"

Better eco

"I use it for better eco, work, and play. Only had it on for a week or so and it has not caused any problems that I'm aware of. Tunes seem safe and well put together."

Ginger (4/5)

I would recommend this to anyone with the 7. 3

"So happy, the Dp- tuner made my truck great again. Runs great shifts great and my egt's went down in tow mode. Very simple and easy to install."

Excellent chip for the price

"the day after I installed the chip I was able to pull a 10,000 lbs load up the mountain going 75-80 with no problem. Before the chip I couldn't get over 60 with the same amount of weight."

Byron B. (5/5)

Just the ticket.

"F350 7. 3 Turbo Diesel with Banks. We pull a 34ft heavy 5th wheel year round and needed more guts on the big mountain passes after my Banks chip went bad. The F5 chip/uploader gets the job done even on the low setting (I had 5 tunes loaded). It took me less than an hour to install it with basic tools. Seems to me that the little controller could be more robust but it works."

Q&A

I recently bought a 1999 7.3 that has been rebuilt 35000 ago , it came with one of your chips , f6 with 1 through 4 settings . How can I find out what they are? I would like a little performance and fuel economy. Also occasionally tow and haul firewood. It is set on 2 , shifts solid, down shifts at 47mph . I'm a little afraid to change it.
If it is an F6 chip you can pull it out and plug it in to a computer once you download the correct software for the F6. It will display what tunes are on the chip. But you have to pull the PCM unless someone installed the extension cable. -Sands
Who writes your tunes?
On the DPtuner. It would be Jody from DPtuner. -Sands
I have a 94 7.3 F-350 dually with the 7.3 powerstroke in it. However, the motor that's in it is a 1997 7.3L. So which option do I choose when purchasing this tuner when it asks me what year my truck is? Do I select 94 or 97?
You would want to select the year make and trans for the engine as long as the PCM was changed along with it. Its whatever year your PCM is. -TL
If I decide later that I want more tunes added, can I send in my chip and have more added?
Yes you are able to add more tunes after you get the chip. You will need to send it into DP tuner in order to get that done. Although you can get a F6 chip and add more tunes from your computer. -DppDustin
I have a brand new PCM that has never been flashed (even to stock). Will this tuner successfully flash my PCM to stock configuration (and any other options that I choose)?
No it will not flash the computer it will need to be flashed by the dealer still.
