Why would you want to convert your 2nd Gen Cummins' factory mechanical belt-driven fan to an electric fan? Simple, its called parasitic loss. You'll be able to recover 27HP and boost your fuel mileage by 6% just by eliminating your stock clutch fan assembly and replacing it with this direct replacement electric cooling fan. Oh, and would you like the ability to have the fan run, even when you've turned the truck off? If so, good news, that's an option with an electric fan!
IMPORTANT NOTE - We do not recommend running this fan for towing and hauling. These fan's cannot support proper CFM for sustained towing or hauling.
