Typical filters use a bypass valve that allows unfiltered oil back into your engine. This is a feature to help the oil flow to ensure lubrication at all times when it is cold and or a heavier weighted grade. The issue with that is that the oil flowing through the bypass valve is picking up all of the contaminants and re-introducing them into your engine. The effects can be devastating to your engine.
The filter continues to filter oil even while operating in bypass mode by using the integrated secondary filtration system. HUBB Oil Filters are also beta tested. The beta ratio is a test of an oil filters efficiency. The HUBB Oil Filters have a beta ratio of 75, which means that the filters are a consistent 98.666%, that is a very good rating for a re-usable oil filter.
How easy is the filter to install?
It takes about ten minutes to install the filter in a driveway or just a few minutes on a lift. It's as simple as if you can screw in a light bulb you can install this filter.
Can I clean and maintain the filter myself?
Yes, you can definitely clean the oil filter yourself using brake cleaner and a little elbow grease, however, in order to maintain the 100,000 mile warranty, HUBB requires the filters to be cleaned using their Ultrasonic Cleaner, available separately. HUBB Oil Filter recommends removal and cleaning of the filter every 3000 miles.

Greetings staff!! Got a couple of curly questions regarding this or a similar suitable HUBB reusable oil filter. I'm trying to purchase a diesel filter(reusable type) to fit my 2006 Toyota Landcruiser 1HDFTE 4.2ltr 4WD. I know the measurements required to fit my vehicle & was hoping to get a filter that was M24 threaded, with a seal diameter of approx 75mm...although 70-80mm dia would suffice. Lastly..will you ship to Australia as I'm happy to pay reasonable postage fees!!! Cheers Matthew v?
Hey Matthew, I would recommend to shoot us or HUBB a call, we can take it from there and cross reference sizes and thread pitch. From what i can tell, we do not currently list one for that pitch and size.
