Is it time to replace the stock HX35 or HY35 turbo in your 2nd Gen Cummins? While there is a huge assortment of upgraded turbos for these trucks, most of them feature at least 62mm compressor wheels and also require you to replace the downpipe in favor of an HX40 downpipe. For those running stock injectors, and maybe just a programmer or chip, a 62mm is too large, especially if you frequently tow or run oversized tires with stock 3.55 gears. Further, for those with a turbo mount exhaust brake will have to abandon this in favor of an inline brake with the use of stock downpipe. So what's the fix? The K27 Turbo from Industrial Injection is a direct, drop-in replacement turbo that has a V-band outlet with adapter. Further, the enhanced 60mm compressor wheel will grossly outflow the stock turbo, yet not be too large for stock fueling, which would cause a degradation in low end responsiveness.

Industrial Injection received its name from servicing construction, agricultural, and mining equipment, as well as over the road truck engines. It was primarily an agricultural and industrial fuel shop. However, when Ford, Dodge and GM decided to power pickup trucks with diesel engines, Industrial Injection was forever changed.
