Its a known fact that Independent Front Suspension (IFS) is not technically as strong as a solid axle. Its also a known fact that an IFS will ride better in most situations compared to a solid axle. Wouldn't you like to have your cake and eat it too? Fortunately, there are upgrades to substantially increase the strength and life expectancy of the most failed components of an IFS, the tie rods. These units from BD Power are 1.5x thicker than OEM for reduced flex and have larger inner ball joints for reduced wear. Testing has shown the BD tie rods can take over double the amount of force than what OEM rods can handle. Greaseable ball joints come with sintered bearings which allow for better load holding and increased life.
