Do you like coolant leaks? Well, it is good for making sure you've always got fresh coolant since you're constantly having to add, so that's a good thing. Okay, yeah, didn't think so. One of the most problematic areas on the 7.3 Powerstrokes is from the thermostat housing leaking coolant. They are made from a thin press formed sheet metal that rusts, pits, and gets deformed by the bolts. To fix the issue Beans Diesel has machined a new piece from 6061 aluminum. This allows for a nice thick flange that will not flex or bend and also is much less susceptible to corrosion than steel.
