Description
Planning on hitting some off road destinations or maybe the roads around your farm are a little rough? The Backcountry System by Carli Suspension is all you need for all around comfort and ride quality no matter the conditions. Utilizing front and rear 2.0" remote reservoir shocks, we've developed a Carli Signature shock tune that delivers all-around comfort and ride quality on-road, in town, highway, towing/hauling as well as slow to mid speed off road use. We enjoy taking our truck off road for a variety of outdoor activities but where we go has a variety of terrain. Rocks, trees, ruts, and more will put your suspension to the test. That's why the Backcountry System was made; to offer a better ride in rough conditions without breaking the bank. After install, you will find a 2.5"-3" front increase in height and 50% more suspension travel than the factory platform. The whole system starts with the Backcountry Kit. BACKCOUNTRY KITFor a truck that needs a smooth ride and enhanced handling on a variety of road and off road conditions, Carli Suspension has covered all the bases. The Base Kit starts with multi-rate coils that give you a smoother ride and better stability when you need them most. A multi-rate coil also reduces stress on components like your shocks and bushings. The Carli SPEC 2.0" Remote Reservoir Shocks that come with the Backcountry system are tuned to deliver comfort while allowing for a wider range of suspension travel than an IFP and the same mounting dimensions. Carli SPEC 2.0 boasts 6063 Aluminum construction, anodized body for corrosion resistance, 5/8″ hardened steel chrome plated shaft, full serviceability, rebuildability, and are built with 1-piece bushings in the 6061 billet rod-ends. These shocks are spec’d with a premium 5WT oil to balance lubricity, consistent damping and the widest available range in temperature variation. And by improving on ride quality, you also improve the safety of your truck as well with it's predictable behaviour, better traction, and control. REAR LEAF SPRING OPTIONSThe rear is lifted via your choice of Carli's progressive add-a-pack or full replacement progressive leaf spring. The Progressive Add-A-Pack replaces the factory overload with a 5-Leaf, progressive pack that changes the final rate of the spring pack keeping the rear planted while increasing traction and predictability. The full replacement springs are intended for those who want to maximize wheel travel (capable of up to 15") and minimize axle wrap due to their block-eliminating design. The Commuter 2.0 System has been developed with the Full Progressive option. While the Add-a-Packs will function there will also be a noticeable difference in ride-quality. Additionally, if you select "No" Leaf Spring option it will result in an unknown ride quality and height.LEAF SPRING SPECIFICATIONS: Add-A-Pack: Replaces rear, lower overload spring for increased ride quality. Includes U-Bolts and Center Pins. Standard Full Spring Pack: Capable of 15" of wheel travel. Will reduce payload capacity by 15%. REQUIRES BUT DOES NOT INCLUDE - 5" Bump Stop Drop Bracket such as Timbren TB-DR1525H SWAY BAR END LINKSWhen pairing added down-travel with the taller ride height, the position of the factory, and front sway bar will need to be altered as well. For this, you will also receive extended, Sway Bar End Links. The End links are equipped with 1/2" FK Rod-Ends and in-house machined 17-4 stainless bodies that are extended over stock to reset the sway bar engagement points. Factory pillow bushings are re-used to assemble the sway bar to the lengthened link. Already have End Links from a previous installation? You have the option of declining them if you so choose but remember they are required for proper sway bar position.SWAY BAR END LINKS SPECIFICATIONS: In-house machined out of 17-4 stainless steel 1/2" FK Bearing, Chromoly Rod-End Used on 0-3" lift WHEEL AND TIRE FITMENTThis system will fit up to a 35" tire with stock control arms (we recommend purchasing a set of extended, Mild Steel Control Arms) on wheels with 5.75-6" of backspacing. If running factory wheels, we recommend an All Terrain 35" tire to avoid rubbing. The ride will firm up as you go larger in wheel diameter.IMPORTANT NOTES WHEELS: Carli Recommends a 17"-18" Wheel, no more than 9" wide with 5.75"-6" of Backspacing on Leveling Systems TIRES: 35", E-Rated Tire Fitment is Recommended. Recommended unloaded Tire Pressure 45F/40R. RECOMMENDED CONFIGURATION: Carli Leveling Systems are Designed and Tested on Vehicles with 17"-18" Wheels with 35", E-Rated Tires. Stock wheels and tires or running a larger wheel diameter will result in a stiffer ride.

Yeah, we know Sage Carli can launch a full sized truck over nearly any obstacle. If you are into Baja racing, everyone knows by now that Carli Suspension is the name to go with. What you may not realize is that Carli has a suspension kit for your needs too. You probably don't care anything about having your expensive truck go air born, but you do want the best performance out of your suspension for your application. Carli Starter and Commuter 2.0 systems are designed to give you the best possible street manners compared to any other system on the market while providing ample room for the larger tires you want. Potholes disappear, you find yourself building speed on corners and washboard, and that's just when you are on the way to work. Now imagine heading out to feed the cows WITHOUT hitting your head on the headliner. Imagine coming back from your hunting trip WITHOUT needing a trip to the chiropractor. Take another look at Carli Suspension. It's not all about Baja. It's about YOUR truck and what you do with it. Stop by, we'll give you a ride and show you what you're missing. Just bring the checkbook and permission from the boss! One ride and you'll be hooked!

CARLI KITS

The entire engineering philosophy behind Carli aims to offer the real world Dodge Ram and Ford SuperDuty a suspension system that drastically increases the street drive of the vehicle while offering incredible off-road characteristics. So far, Sage Carli's suspension systems are the only option available where you don't have to compromise.

Carli products are designed to meet the expectations of both the daily street driver and the most extreme avid off road enthusiast. From the urban streets to the most remote places, Carli products will far exceed all your expectations. The easiest way to put this into perspective is that Carli truly builds suspension systems for the enthusiast....the person who truly LOVES their truck and wants to upgrade it with the most thought out, tasteful upgrades on the market. No, this type of individual isn't going to head to Napa to pickup a new track bar. They're going to research the best possible track bar on the market and go that route. Carli Suspension is truly a brand for enthusiasts, featuring products that are built by enthusiasts. Just watch any of Carli Suspension's videos and you'll understand why they have such a passion for their products.

Stock production trucks are built mainly to keep costs down. From a truck enthusiast's point of view these standards simply are not acceptable. From people looking to get a better ride with a more aggressive stance to people looking to get some serious off road performance, Carli understands the needs of these enthusiasts. This is epitomized by the ever growing list of satisfied customers. Carli Suspensions relentless pursuit of producing the best performing suspension systems is something that can be felt every time a customer drives their truck. Carli wouldnt have it any other way.

CARLI COMPONENTS

You know, its not always about a complete suspension. In fact, some of our best selling Carli products are things like a track bar, Carli ball joints, shocks, coil springs, and more. Maybe you've got a clunk in your front end that has been nailed down to being from a worn out track bar bushing and you did your research (mentioned above) and found out that the best track bar for your Ram or Ford is from Carli, so you buy that one. Or maybe you want a better ride, but only want to replace the coil springs for now. No problem. Sure, Carli is centered around their entire systems, but nearly all of their components can be used interchangeably on a stock height truck or one with an existing leveling or lift kit. We do our best to make note of any fitment requirements on each product page, but if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out and ask, we're happy to help.

Here at Diesel Power Products we only want to sell the best and lets face it, the stock Ram and Ford suspension needs help. Your stock suspension system is designed to be adequate and nothing more. Carli not only makes the ride of your truck better, it makes it safer. Whether you are towing a trailer on the interstate or doing a little off-road adventure, we will attest that you'll be more than satisfied by upgrading to Carli.
