Carli's most popular system for your Powerstroke, the Pintop 2.5. This system will deliver you a lifted stance that you can tuck up to a 37" tire under, you'll get unbelievable gains in ride comfort, both on and offroad, and have a suspension system worth bragging about. It's the Jack-of-all-trades suspension system that gives you amazing new capabilities both on the road and off.
Designed and tuned in-house for the customer looking for substantial on-road and off-road performance improvement. You can expect a softer ride, yet more control and bottom-out resistance than Carli's Backcountry system.
The Pintop is a Jack-of-all-trades system from which every Super Duty owner would benefit. Raising the Super Duty Platform, then adding the 2.5" diameter shocks (55% more piston surface area than a 2.0" shock) will support the argument that these trucks should come equipped with 2.5" shocks from the factory. The higher end systems will get you more off-road capability, yes, and even a bit more on-road. The premium paid for these systems; however, doesn't compare to the on and off-road ride quality per dollar spent on the Pintop. For these reasons, it will likely remain a best seller for years to come.
CARLI TUNED 2.5" KING SHOCKS
The Pintop system boasts Carli-specific, blueprinted, King 2.5" shocks on all four corners. To provide you with the best product, a custom piston was designed to determine proper base flow rates to ensure the shock works well in the heavy-duty truck platform. Carli then tuned the shocks around the custom pistons based on the only thing that matters, seat-of-the-pants feel. All King shocks are treated with shafts machined and polished from a solid piece of 17-4 Stainless. Unlike King's standard shafts, there is no coating to wear off, weather can't hurt them and if there is a small chip, you can round the edges with emery cloth to ensure the seal housing isn't damaged as they're not brittle like the stock, hardened shafts. The shocks are finished with King oil good to -55° F. Note that all King shocks are built with a plated steel body. If subjected to inclement weather for extended periods, Carli recommends wrapping your shocks in 3M to provide a moisture barrier that's replaceable.
Front Sway Bar Option
-
No Sway Bar: The Pintop System is optimized to be used with a torsion sway bar giving a huge ride quality upgrade. Staying with the unmodified factory sway bar is not recommended unless you have a truck with a snow plow, or in-bed camper, or constantly hauling to capacity.
-
Sway Bar Drop Bracket: The economical solution as it keeps the Factory Sway Bar End Links but corrects the factory sway bar geometry.
-
End Link and Drop Bracket Kit: This kit combines End Links and Drop Brackets for perfect sway bar position and excellent articulation.
-
Sway Bar Kit and End Links: This kit replaces your immoveable factory sway bar with a custom torsion bar and has brackets and links to make sure it fits as it should. There will be a huge ride quality improvement when you install this kit.
Rear Leaf Spring Option
-
No Rear Leaf Spring: Unless you have your own set of Carli leaf springs you can use, this will result in a "floaty" rear end and unknown height as the Pintop System is designed to be used with any of the below options; NOT factory leaf springs.
-
Carli Add-A-Pack: While these are compatible, there will be a noticeable ride quality difference between on and off-road. The Add-A-Pack is not recommended for F-350, F-250 with High Capacity Tow, or Tremor Package.
-
Full Progressive Leaf Spring Kit: The Commuter 2.0 Kit is optimized to be used with this Rear Leaf kit.
-
Heavy Duty Progressive Leaf Kit: These Heavy Duty Leaf Springs are designed for those trucks which have 1,000 lbs constantly in their bed.
Leaf Spring Shackle Option
The SuperDuty can have a rather jarring ride quality in its rear due to factory vulcanized bushings in the leaf spring pack and shackle. While the shackle is tough, its design didn't take into account ride quality. Replace it with the Carli shackle to get both strength and smoothness.
Pinion Shim Kit Option
Recommended for when you are modifying rear leaf springs, these shims correct an angle issue for your driveline that can cause vibrations once you get 70mph. It's better to take care of the issue now when you install your suspension kit and then realize it later.
Adjustable Radius Arms Option
Put the nail in "Death Wobble"s coffin with these radius arms from Carli. A full .5° to 2.5° of adjustable Caster correction comes with these full-length internal structure arms.
Steering Stabilizer Option
A lift kit brings many benefits but it does come with some added snags to your drive comfort. Smooth them out with steering stabilizers. Choose high, low, or both for the ultimate dual opposing combination you can adjust more times than you can count.
