When it comes time to lift your SuperDuty for larger tire fitment and an improved stance, there are a lot of options out there. The Commuter 2.0 Suspension System from Carli is about lifting your truck the RIGHT way for the truck that sees mostly on-road duties and delivers a superior ride quality compared to anything on the market.
CARLI SPEC 2.0" IFP SHOCKS
The SuperDuty Commuter 2.0 system is designed for people seeking the best on-road ride quality that don’t plan to off-road their vehicle beyond low-speed trail driving. Utilizing Carli SPEC 2.0″ Diameter, Internal Reservoir shocks, Carli has developed a tune that delivers all-around comfort and ride quality designed for on-road, in town, highway, and towing/hauling.
The mono-tube, internal reservoir, Carli SPEC 2.0 boasts 6063 Aluminum construction, anodized body for corrosion resistance, 5/8″ hardened steel chrome plated shaft, full serviceability and rebuildability and are built with 1-peice bushings in the 6061 billet rod-ends. These shocks are spec’d with a premium 5WT oil to balance lubricity, consistent damping and the widest available range in temperature variation. Carli backs these with a 1-year warranty, serviced by Carli.
CARLI COMMUTER SUSPENSION SYSTEM COMPONENTS
The truck will sit 5.5" higher in the front and have more wheel travel thanks to the taller, Progressive Rate Coil Springs. Radius Arm Drop Brackets reset the pivot point and keep the travel linear for the best ride. There are two options to correct your sway bar geometry, the Sway Bar End Link Kit (that comes with sway bar drops) or the Torsion Sway Bar Kit that includes the Sway Bar End Link Kit AND the Torsion Sway Bar. The Sway Bar End Link Kit will correct your geometry and the Torsion Sway Bar Kit will improve your ride quality and bump compliance in your front suspension. Bump Stop Drops protect the shocks from over-compressing, the Adjustable Track Bar centers the front axle and Stainless Brake Lines firm up braking and ensures there is enough line for the newfound travel. To round off the front end, Carli includes Caster Shims to tighten the steering.

REAR LEAF SPRINGS
NEW for the Carli-SPEC: In the previous version, Carli optimized the Commuter for the add-a-pack while recommending against our full replacement leaf springs. With the new shocks and tuning, the rear can now be outfitted with a replacement Full Progressive Spring Pack (reduces capacity to a “light” 3/4-ton) or factory leaf-pack modifying Progressive Add-a-Pack (maintains factory payload capacity and pairs with the included Carli Fabricated 2” block)!
This is where the F250 and F350 are a bit different. Since 2008, the main spring packs on these two trucks is different; the F250 has a lighter rate spring pack than its 350 counterpart. The F250 Add-a-Pack equipped systems are a nice improvement over stock; the F350 with the Add-a-Pack is still very stiff in the rear as the main pack doesn’t move much unless loaded. Carli recommends the Full Replacement Leaf Spring packs for both trucks but especially the F350 given the super-stiff factory springs. If capacity is a concern, the Full Progressive Leaf Springs can be supplemented back to the factory capacity of a SRW F350 with the addition of our Long-Travel Airbags. The Full Progressive Leaf Spring Pack will shift the axle slightly forward in the wheel well to ensure maximum tire clearance for a 37” M/T at full compression.

WHEEL AND TIRE FITMENT
Carli recommends 17"-18" wheels, no more than 9" wide with 5" of backspacing with 37" E-Rated tires. The more rubber, the better the small bump compliance will be at proper inflation pressures. The ride will firm up as you go larger in wheel diameter.

RECOMMENDED CONFIGURATION: Carli 5.5" Systems are
Designed and Tested on Vehicles with 17"-18" Wheels with 37", E-Rated
Tires. Stock wheels and tires or running a larger wheel diameter will
result in a stiffer ride.

REAR DRIVESHAFT: Trucks equipped with a 2 piece
driveshaft will require part number CS-CARRIERDROP-F, a carrier bearing
drop, to ensure proper driveline angles.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON 2° PINION SHIM:- *OPTIONAL
BUT RECOMMENDED* When modifying the rear leaf springs (add-a-pack or
Full Spring Pack) of the 2017+ Super Duty platform, there's a small
chance you'll induce a driveline vibration around 70mph when under power
from the rear driveline. These pinion shims will correct the angle to
4°-5°, ideal for our lifted applications. Although these will not be
"required" on every truck, the 4°-5° spec is superior in these
applications and these are FAR easier to install initially.
NO LEAF SPRING OPTION NOTES:- Diesel Power Products and Carli strongly
suggest the use of either options available. These options are designed
to work flawlessly with the rest of your kit and, are the best way to
go. However, we understand you may already have the necessary provisions
and/or products to use with this kit so we give you the option to not
include any leaf spring provisions.
