Custom Battery Cables Replacement Battery Cable Set 99-03 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke
Description
Replace your worn or corroded factory cables in your 1999-2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke with this complete set from Custom Battery Cables. These cables are built from 2/0 (“two-aught”) cable for the starter and engine block grounds and tin plated copper terminals. To prevent corrosion from the battery’s acidic fumes, we crimp the terminals with a 12-ton hydraulic crimper then seal the connection with adhesive lined heat shrink. Cables are shipped with anti-corrosion battery washers, military-style battery terminals with “Nylox” style lock nuts.
This is a complete kit incuding the 2/0 positive battery cable to starter, 2/0 right positive battery cable to battery, right and left negative battery cables, #10 ga. relay to start solenoid wire, 2 positive and negative military style battery terminals with lock nuts and covers, and includes loom.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Depending on the starter on your truck, you may have a 90 degree lug or a straight lug style. The stock OE starters have a 90 degree bend, whereas a Denso style "High-Torque" aftermarket starter would require a straight lug at the starter.

"Bought this to replace the corroded and deteriorated factory cables. Installation pretty straightforward and easy. Biggest obstacle is routing, since some of the cables have 6"-8" of extra length over originals, I misunderstood about the 90 degree or straight lug for the starter, assuming it was referring to the battery lug, not the solenoid lug. Ordered straight lug, needed 90 degree. Ended up being a moot point since I couldn't use the supplied wire due to the proprietary connector from the harness."

- I have a 2002 Ford Excursion. Will these cables fit to replace factory harness?
- These will work on that application, and these will only be replacing the positive and negative battery cables.
- What is the length on all the cables?
- I do not see those dimensions provided by Custom battery cables. They are going to be direct replacements for the factory cables on the 99-03 Superduty's. Do you have another application you are trying to put them on?
- Greetings, I have a 02 F250 7.3, I purchased a positive battery cable replacement today from orileys I was told it was the same thing..granted I'm not a mechanic ,I got back home and started working on my truck come to find out it was similar yes but was missing extra cables that my OEM harness had. With that being said would this be a direct fit as I'm kinda scarred especially not really know
- Yes these are a direct replacement. The cables and wires do attach different. So it will look a little different, but everything will hook up no problem. -Sands
