INSTALL NOTE:
- Both cam options are considered “drop-in,” requiring no more than .020” piston protrusion and at least .055” valve face depth with a standard head gasket. If these clearances aren't met, oversized head gaskets or valve reliefs may be required.
- Apply a liberal amount of high-quality assembly lube to cam lobes and journals.
- Prime the oil pump and oil filter before starting.
- Verify oil pressure before engine start-up.
- Run the engine at 1200-1500 RPM for 5 minutes, then shut it down.
- Adjust valve lash after each torque sequence to account for gasket compression.
