Description
Turbocharged diesel engines rely on proper exhaust flow for optimal turbocharger performance. An exhaust back pressure gauge allows you to ensure that the turbocharger is operating within the desired parameters. Abnormal back pressure readings can indicate a failing or inefficient turbocharger, enabling you to take necessary maintenance steps or repairs to prevent costly turbocharger failure. It can also assist in diagnosing engine issues related to poor performance, excessive smoke, or loss of power. By correlating back pressure readings with other symptoms, you can narrow down potential causes and troubleshoot more effectively, saving time and money on unnecessary repairs.EV² electronic gauges also include an integral programmable warning light, which may be activated if you select the checkbox above to add the programmer tool. The programmer can also be used to adjust the backlighting curve to perfectly match the factory dash lights, and can also adjust the amount of signal filtering/smoothing that the software performs.
