"This K&N cold air intake kit takes its air from the bottom of its air box which is the area of the upper wheel well. It picks up a huge amount of road dust and dirt directly from the pavement. There was also no improvement in horsepower or torque. This is a don't purchase air intake kit. I put the original air box and accompanying parts back on the truck. The OEM air box is rated up to 500 horsepower. The Banks cold air intake kit does get its air from the inner passenger fender as the OEM air box which would most likely be a better choice. they also offer a dry or oiled filter instead of just oiled as K&N does that lets a lot of dirt into your engine."
